About the Chef:
Neil Fletcher Wilson's skill in cooking and teaching makes him an outstanding choice as a personal chef, a cooking demonstrator and a leader of corporate cooking parties and teambuilding events.
Neil has turned his 25-year-long cooking hobby into a second career. He was professionally trained as a chef at one of the nation's top ten culinary schools - L'Academie de Cuisine in Gaithersburg, Md. where he graduated with honors. He has assisted a variety of noted chefs such as Frank Ruta, winner of the 2007 James Beard Award for Best Chef, at the distinguished Palena Restaurant in Washington, D.C. Neil was a line cook at Palena for 18 months.
Neil has completed the Culinary Business Academy's training program in New Mexico. He also has successfully completed food safety training, testing, and certification. He is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association as well. In August of 2008, Neil earned the highest distinction in the Personal Chef industry: Certified Personal Chef.
Neil also teaches, as a Chef Instructor, at L'Academie De Cuisine
Neil, an Arkansas native, retired from the Army as an officer whose last assignment was in the Pentagon. He holds a master's degree in the field of Middle Eastern studies and a bachelor's degree in biology.
His outgoing personal style, as well as his culinary acumen, has been well received by clients he has worked with on their weekly meals, their special occasion entertaining and their corporate events.
